BGR Hair Studios is a leading salon in the Markham region dedicated to the art and care of textured hair. Founded by licensed stylist Serina—known professionally as BraidaGyalRin— the studio brings together a team of skilled professionals trained to deliver creativity and consistency in every service. Specializing in braids, locs, silk presses, extensions, and other advanced styling techniques, BGR Hair Studios is among the first in Markham designed specifically with textured hair in mind. Our BIPOC team’s collective experience as professionals gives us a deeper understanding of diverse hair types and the cultural significance behind them.

At BGR, our goal is not only to style hair but to help clients build confidence in caring for it. We believe in education as much as transformation—offering personalized consultations, hair-care guidance, and hands-on classes for both clients and stylists. Through our workshops and professional training sessions, we continue to shape a community of informed clients and skilled stylists who value the beauty, versatility, and strength of their hair.

How do I book an appointment?It’s simple! Head over to our list of talented stylists, select a style on their profile, the date and time of your desired appointment, and follow the instructions listed to book! If you have any other questions, please feel free to contact us with the form above.

Where are you located and what are the stores’ hours of operation?We have two locations to best help suit you, the star! We are located at 936 Pape Ave in Toronto, and 288 Copper Creek Drive, in Markham! The location where each stylists works is listed below their icon photo, as well as on their personal booking site.
BGR Hair Studios’ hours of operation vary based on the timeslot you book with the stylist of your choice! hours start at 8am for selected stylists. Head over to their booking site to see their next availed appointment slot!

How do you accept payments?Each stylist accepts cash and e-transfer payments. Please keep in mind, certain stylists may charge GST+HST tax. Feel free to reach out to the stylist personally, or check their FAQs page on their booking site for thorough clarification.

Does BGR Hair Studios accept kids?YES! Specific stylists, including our barber, accept children of all ages to be serviced! Please see their booking sites for details on pricing and availability.

How do you handle late arrivals, cancellations and no shows?As it is recommended to arrive on time for your appointment, if you are unavailable or delayed, please reach out to your stylist personally through text, social media, and/or phone call to assure they are aware of your circumstance.
